While growing up she heard: "You're a Haas. We Haas' are not artistic". And while it may have kept her from considering art as a young person, she fortunately stumbled into her first paintbrush in 2001. What followed was an extraordinary explosion of works that surprised and delighted us all.

Most of her occupations had involved instructing, understanding and helping people. So it is a natural extension that her favorite creative subjects are the human form. She continues to study anatomy and figure drawing with the passion of someone having found something they loved and had lost long ago.
